This volume contains a collection of essays, organized by subject matter, that investigate some of the fundamental themes in Cusano’s philosophy: the connection with other areas of the humanities; his views on tolerance; the founding of a new gnoseology through joint and non-mutually-exclusive references to Platonism and Aristotelianism, that proved essential also to psychology and philosophical anthropology; the peculiar function of Christology; the special relations with Augustine’s work and thought.

Pietro Secchi
Pietro Secchi (1974) è Dottore di Ricerca in Filosofia e collabora da anni con l'Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza". Si occupa di Storia della Filosofia e in particolare di Filosofia del Rinascimento. Attualmente insegna Storia e Filosofia presso il Liceo Francesco Vivona. Tra i suoi lavori, ricordiamo le monografie "Del mar più che del ciel amante". Bruno e Cusano, Edizioni di Storia e Letteratura, Roma 2006 e La conoscenza possibile.
