In view of a new edition of «vulgar» Bruno, the volume covers the fundamental stages of textual criticism – from the classic editions of Lagarde and Gentile to the more recent experiences – proposing new critical solutions. In particular, recognising one of the passages of major originality of vulgar works in Bruno’s conscious assumption of a model of «recited dialogue», a new and organic proposal is advanced relating to the complex system of punctuation of 16th century publications.
