Roberto Bianchi’s study of the riots which took place in Tuscany in early Summer 1919. Chiefly due to the high cost of living the unrest took on a specific political significance inaugurating the so-called «red biennial». The research is based on the law cases filed against those who took part in the revolt young manual workers, craftsmen but also many women and soldiers just back from war and still waiting to be demobbed.
