Moving from the ascertainment of the ‘archetypal’ functions of Dante’s message Cantiche del Novecento proceeds towards the recomposition of the ‘sublime paradigm’ of the Divina Commedia as seen in a deformed and equally original way in the artistic experience of Mario Luzi and Pier Paolo Pasolini. The outcome is an itinerary that, in Dantean style, covers Pasolini’s dramatic decensus ad inferos to rise up with Luzi in an itinerarium mentis ad lucem.
