This volume brings together the correspondence between two protagonists of Italian poetry in the second half of the twentieth century with an exegetical focus on the main themes discussed: their places of choice and belonging, their translation works, their common literary milieu. The correspondence is analyzed together with their respective book collections, particularly in light of the dedications penned by the two authors on the books they exchanged as gifts and the related reading notes.

Giuliana Di Febo-Severo
Giuliana Di Febo-Severo ha studiato all’Università Roma Tre, all’Université Paris Nanterre e presso l’Istituto di studi italiani dell’Università della Svizzera italiana. È ora assistente dottoranda all’USI, in cotutela con Sorbonne Université, grazie a una borsa di studio del Fondo Nazionale svizzero per la ricerca scientifica; nel 2018 è stata Visiting Researcher per la cattedra di «Littératures modernes de l'Europe néolatine» del Collège de France. I suoi interessi di ricerca riguardano la poesia italiana del Novecento, la filologia d’autore e la critica genetica, nonché gli scambi traduttivi tra l’Italia e la Francia. Attualmente lavora su un’inedita traduzione realizzata da Giorgio Caproni a partire da un testo giovanile di Gustave Flaubert. - (gennaio 2020) -
