The volume contains the proceedings of the study day promoted by the Gabinetto Vieusseux and held in Florence on 24 November 2015, for the presentation of the first two books of the eponymous work. The texts collected in this new publication constitute an interesting interdisciplinary approach to the work of Angiolo Pucci, paying special attention to his biography and work, and his contribution to the specific literature of gardens. They also examine the historical and scientific context, including the study of photography as an aid to botanical research.
