The volume focuses its objectives on two fundamental new aspects of the didactic and philological activity of Angelo Poliziano: his approach to translations and comments, and then to the overall relationship with ancient culture. For him, the latter became a personal legacy that he constantly studied in depth, in the non-mechanical transposition to a language different from the original, as well as an understanding of the most recondite meanings of the linguistic and lexical fabric.
