The Acts of three conferences (held on the occasion of the centenary of Montanelli’s birth) examine the works of the Tuscan journalist: journalistic writings, prose and drama works, screenplays and the volumes of his History of Italy, with special attention to Italian Unification and the Twentieth century. The essays and accounts published here show the extent and variety of Montanelli’s interests, which translate into an always clear and incisive writing style.
