The book addresses the birth of German-language philosophy, finding one of its origins in the theological discussions of the so-called Spiritualists, a branch of the Radical Reformation, in the first decades of the sixteenth century. Examining the writings of Paracelsus, Valentin Weigel and Jakob Böhme, the author thematizes the reflection on the relationships between Nature and Supernature that started at that time in the fields of theology and natural philosophy.

Già ricercatore presso il “Lessico Intellettuale Europeo” (CNR-Roma), Massimo Luigi Bianchi ha insegnato Storia della Filosofia moderna presso la Facoltà di Scienze della Formazione dell’Università di Lecce.
