Le «Discours de la servitude volontaire» d'Étienne de La Boétie

From 1570 onwards, Montaigne publishes La Boètie’s writings omitting those texts that are specifically political. In 1906 Armaingaud brings forward the hypothesis that the highlights of the Discours de la servitude volontaire are by Montaigne himself. Considering the tracks of the original manuscript have been lost, one must question the chronological priority traditionally granted to the copy by de Mesmes housed in the Bibliothèque Nationale de France.

Renzo Ragghianti, ricercatore in discipline filosofiche presso la Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, ha conseguito l’Habilitation à diriger des recherches presso l’Université de Paris 8 Vincennes/Saint Denis e l’Abilitazione scientifica nazionale a Professore di Prima Fascia in Storia della Filosofia. Negli anni 2011 e 2012 è stato nominato Membre du comité d'évaluation "JCJC - SHS 3 - Cultures, arts, civilisations" de l’Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) francese. Numerose le sue monografie ed edizioni critiche, fra le quali: Introduzione a Montaigne (2001); Rétablir un texte.
