L'archivio dell'amministrazione provinciale di Firenze (1860 - 1980)

This inventory marks a significant achievement within the scope of initiatives aimed at the conservation of historic-documentary sources preserved by local Florentine institutions. An ensemble of sources quite vast – approximately ten-thousand units – which represents the written memory of over a century of activity by the Provincial Administration. Founded at the dawn of the Unification, this local institution carried out with continuity a liaising role between the national State and the local communities within the provincial territory.
