Gathered here are didactic proposals relating to some major aspects of the complex problem of the origins in contemporary sciences. The proposals were advanced by professors, students and postgraduates of various schools in the Tuscan Region, who attended the Didactic Laboratories of the Stensen Foundation of Florence, in the context of the celebrations for the International Year of Astronomy 2009, organized to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the first astronomical observations with a telescope by Galileo (1564-1642).
