It is known that there are significant analogies as well as appreciable differences in the history of Fascism and Nazism. The relationship between regime and the world of research is essentially based on convergence. In fact, very few scholars and researchers could escape the strong influence exercised from above. A comparative analysis performed in the field of natural sciences provides new perspectives of analysis and shows, among other things, that natural scientists, too, were conditioned by the dominant ideology.

Pier Giorgio Zunino
Pier Giorgio Zunino, professore di storia all’Università di Torino, ha pubblicato varie opere sulla storia contemporanea italiana, in particolare sulla sinistra italiana e sul fascismo, quest’ultimo studiato con una specifica attenzione ai suoi rapporti con il mondo della cultura, il cattolicesimo, le forze sociali dominanti. Tra questi lavori si ricorda L’ideologia del fascismo (Il Mulino 1985), Interpretazione e memoria del fascismo (Laterza 1991) e Il passato della Repubblica (Il Mulino 2003).
