This edition gathers a nucleus of consultations Vallisneri kept and organized in order to have it published and which was edited in «Medical Physic Works», posthumously issued in 1733. Moreover it includes many applications for medical advice, the replies to which make up his consultations, and more Vallisneri’s unpublished material, which enables us to follow each phase of the consultation process, thus making easier the historical reconstruction of the author’s methods, procedures and therapeutic models.
