This volume has as its main focus the ‘mind’ and encompasses aspects related to terminology as well as the history of concepts. Philosophical issues to do with the ‘community of minds’ are tackled, such as the mind in relation to the concept of ‘nous’, the theological notion ‘mind-image’, and the metaphysical-cosmological question of the relationship between Primary and celestial intelligences. Other aspects covered include immortality of the soul and the relation between the mind and body, as well as the concepts of truth and conscience.
