A critical edition of the autograph treaty, approved by Galileo, acknowledged in manuscript 108 of the Galilean fund of the National Central Library in Florence where it is accompanied by other writings on hydraulics and architecture. To reclaim the water disruption of the river Arno and avoid flooding Sigismondo Coccapani (Florence 1583-1643), painter and architect, proposed a systematic treaty (drainage, agricultural techniques, construction of roads and bridges) complete with autographed drawings and based on direct observations following the new Galilean science.
