- About this book
The Latin and Greek inscriptions of the Riccardi collection are yet today grouped together in the large posters that decorate the walls of the courtyard in the palace in Via Larga that once belonged to the Medici family. The catalogue of epigraphs, complete with rich indexes, is preceded by an introduction in which the story of the collection is outlined. Particular attention is paid in these pages to the figure of Riccardo Romolo Riccardi a humanist merchant who purchased the majority of the antiquities belonging to the family.
