- About this book
Approximately 150 drawings are exhibited allowing us to reconstruct the development of design in Rome during the 17th century. The exhibition is articulated in twelve chronological and thematic sections. Alongside masterpieces in the collection from Annibale Carracci to Guido Reni, from Pietro da Cortona to Bernini there are numerous designs that up to now have either been ignored or worse still are completely unknown. The graphic activity of many artists from the variegated panorama of 17th century Rome is reconstructed here for the first time.
