The series "Studies and Texts for the Corpus of Philosophical Papyri" (STCPF) gathers research outcomes which, although originating from the CPF project, for various reasons have not been placed in the volumes containing editions of papyri. These include:
* preliminary studies bearing on the attribution of a fragment, especially when there is a negative conclusion and the papyrus is not accepted into the CPF, or when the papyrus needs to be published in a different section of the Corpus and it seems appropriate to set out in advance the detailed reasons for making the transfer;
* studies which have led to results which, in content or extent, go beyond what is required for a formal entry in the Corpus.
