Researching was part of his entire life, both in medicine and in the construction of musical instruments as violins, violas, cellos, guitars, and mandolins built according to his own personal style, but always referring to the Neapolitan School of Lutherie. He restored many ancient instruments belonging both to private collectors and to the Music School of Naples and Bari.
