Storia e tecnica della tipografia rinascimentale

This volume contains a number of studies on Italian typography in the 15th century, delving into exemplary cases and technical problems related to the rise of printing from its origins to the early years of its establishment in Italy. It also provides a reconstruction of the activity of the monastic library of Camaldoli from the 16th century until the suppressions. The essays, which are the result of more than forty years of research, attempt to reconstruct the history and technique of movable type printing in Italy.

Piero Scapecchi
Piero Scapecchi, aretino che vive e lavora a Firenze, già bibliotecario delle biblioteche Marucelliana e Nazionale Centrale, ha sempre dedicato la sua attenzione e i suoi studi alla storia e alla tecnica tipografica del Quattrocento pubblicando un’ampia serie di cataloghi, fino a quello della Nazionale fiorentina. L’autore ha inoltre pubblicato in monografie, cataloghi e periodici italiani e stranieri numerosi contributi dedicati al libro del XV secolo. - (marzo 2023) -
