Nascita della storiografia e organizzazione dei saperi

The objective of the conference is to investigate the shift from the encyclopedic cataloguing of knowledge, typical of the Middle Ages and of Humanism, to the Renaissance’s historiographical interpretation of it. For this reason, scholars of historiography, politics, literature, law, art, theatre and music were invited to discuss the birth of the historiographical attitude and to analyse how, and by what time frames and procedures, the various disciplines were reconstituted according to a diachronic and historicizing principle.

Enrico Mattioda
Enrico Mattioda è ricercatore di Letteratura italiana presso la Facoltà di Scienze della Formazione dell’Università di Torino. Tra i suoi studi ricordiamo Teorie della tragedia nel Settecento (Modena, Muchi, 1994) e L’ordine del mondo. Saggio su Primo Levi (Napoli, Liguori, 1998). Ha inoltre curato varie edizioni di testi settecenteschi e negli ultimi anni ha rivolto la sua attenzione allo studio del Rinascimento.
