Renaissance Studies in Honor of Joseph Connors

On the occasion of Joseph Connors’s retirement as Director of Villa I Tatti (2002-2010), this booklet presents twelve tributes highlighting his outstanding achievements as a scholar and his impact on the field of Renaissance studies during the twelve years of his directorship. The volume includes an introduction by Machtelt Israëls and Louis A. Waldman, as well as a list of the 175 scholarly essays that will appear in the three-volume Festschrift in his honor, to be published by Leo S. Olschki in 2011. Authors of the tributes include Derek Bok, Caroline Bruzelius, Alessandro Cecchi, Péter Farbaky, Robert E. Harrist, Jr., William C. Kirby, Alessandro Nova, Beatrice Paolozzi Strozzi, Lino Pertile, Gabriele Rossi Rognoni, Neil Rudenstine, and Diana Sorensen.
