The volume is devoted to the relationships between the writer from Abruzzo and the world of music. Those relationships were intimate and fruitful for both the writer, a man with many interests, an avid and in-depth reader of ancient and modern literature, and many composers who happened to work with him. The essays are by musicologists, historians of literature (French and Italian), historians of scenography, who deal with previously unexplored subjects from a multidisciplinary perspective.
