Giovan Battista Giraldi Cinzio gentiluomo ferrarese

The University of Ferrara celebrated the fifth anniversary of the birth of Giovan Battista Giraldi Cinzio with a conference whose international formula was emphasised by the participation of foreign scholars and the theme of the conference itself. The work of this Ferrarese master was considered above all in the light of its extraordinary diffusion in Europe (France, Spain and England) where the novellas, the theatrical works and the ideas in Giraldi Cinzio’s narrative poetry were widely imitated and discussed.
