Twenty years after the publication of the first, the second volume of Lettere di Marsilio Ficino’s critical edition by Sebastiano Gentile is finally being released. The second book of correspondence consists of nine short treatises exploring philosophical and theological themes. This bestows upon the volume a distinctive speculative imprint which differentiates it from the others, as evidenced by the fact that, at one point, Ficino himself thought of diffusing it as a work unto itself, titled precisely Opuscola Theologica.
