Per un giardino della Terra

An attractive idea is the leitmotif of Padua University’s book of the Historic Gardens Group: the Earth, now more fragile and threatened than ever, considered as a «planetary garden». The division of the essays into four sections not only highlights the diachronic dimension but also allows us to tackle principal problems of our epoch: from the training of ‘gardeners’ responsible for our planet to the preservation of biodiversity, from the replanning of post industrial landscapes to the need for a «government» of the megalopolises, for a more responsible use of the Earth.
