Since the beginning of the nineteenth century – the «Century of History» as it has been called – Italian women made an important contribution to the production of historiographical works. This bibliography offers 4915 entries including books, articles and published lectures together with short biographies of many of the authors. Three indexes (of the disciplines, publishers and journals) plus an appendix of female presence within various historical research institutions, provide tools for further research on women’s participation in Italian historiography.
