An analysis of political relations focused on Wilsonian views of Italy’s role in the war and in the post-war peace making process. At the same time, against the background of the ongoing military operations and of the various national post-war expectations, there emerges the predicament of Italy’s foreign policy, as well as a convergence of opinions between Wilson and Sonnino on several significant issues. This, however, they never realized, owing to a total lack of dialogue.
