- About this book
The first Italian edition of the «Ludus Danielis» (The Play of Daniel) from Beauvais (12th century), the most celebrated liturgical drama handed down to us from the Middle Ages, provided with the original Latin text, translation into prose, transcription, commentary and reasoned discography. But also the first, in comparison with the previous five, that, thanks to the semi-diplomatical transcription from the 'codex unicus', MS Egerton 2615 in the British Library of London, makes it possible to restore to the modern reader this exstraordinary work in its own athenticity and original structure.
