Among the 43 letters published here the most outstanding are those exchanged with C. A. Broggia a Neapolitan economist (whose letters with Muratori are published in their entirety for the first time and with a radical revision of the sources) with the German thinker J. Brucker, the erudite Dutchman P. Burmann, the publishers Bousquet, Briasson, Bulifon and with numerous exponents of the Italian literary world (F. Brembati, G. Brunacci, F. Buonarroti etc.). Important acquisitions emerge on the genesis of Muratori’s works.

Fabio Marri (1950), ordinario all’università di Bologna, autore di numerose pubblicazioni nel settore letterario e linguistico (tra le ultime, Lingue di terra nel 2007 e Prove di lettura nel 2011), presidente del Centro di studi muratoriani di Modena, ha già curato l’edizione del volume 10 del Carteggio (in due tomi, 1999 e 2003) e dei Vocaboli del nostro dialetto modanese di Muratori (nella «Biblioteca del Carteggio» 1984). - (gennaio 2014) -
