The volume contains the letters written by Camillo Togni to his Italian friends and colleagues from 1942 till his death in 1993. The correspondence well illustrates his interest in the affirmation of dodecaphonic music in Italy as also of a specifically «Italian dodecaphonic style» (from Casella to Dallapiccola and Nono). The same interest emerges from a reading of his notes and sketches from lessons held at Florence University and Parma Conservatory, scholars articles and encyclopedia contributions.
