Pier Leone of Spoleto, physician of Lorenzo de’ Medici, was one of the most important scientists of the Quattrocento. As a friend of Marsilio Ficino and Giovanni Pico, he was interested in the relationship between magic, astrology and practical medicine. But, as a professor at the universities of Pisa and Padua, his chief concern was with didactic order and logical method. His production shows both humanistic and scholastic features. This book provides an accurate reconstruction of his life and works, most of them manuscripts.
