This monograph is dedicated to the first collection of commented popular Italian stories that are analysed from various points of view: from the genesis to the history of their receptivity, from a structural and morphological analysis to an investigation on the regional, national and international indicator of fairy tale themes. The slope on which the authoress abuts gives her anthology an original style compared to the latter works by Giuseppe Pitrè.
