Mario Capuana was chapel master in Noto from 1628 to 1647. His compositions outlived the actual city which was destroyed by an earthquake in 1963. These twenty motifs (two with a pair of violin obbligatoes) are flourishing baroque concerts in the most advanced style of Monteverdi.
