- About this book
This is a collection of the thoughts and notes (the majority of which are to date unpublished) of Santorre di Santa Rosa during his exile in Switzerland, Paris and finally London. What emerges is a portrait of this personage that goes beyond the traditional image of a Risorgimental patriot; the lesser known aspects of Santorre’s character are revealed and at the same time we are offered a small gallery of personalities, not all famous, that he met during his exile.
