Lettres aux frères Dupuy et à leur entourage (1623- 1662)

An elegant writer and famous moralist during the regency of Anna d’Austria, La Hoguette is also the author of a correspondence lasting thirty years with the Dupuy brothers and the intellectual environment of the ‘Repubblica delle Lettere’. These missives of learned prose deal with moments of French absolutism and the vivacious debates provoked by the works of Richelieu and Mazzarino in France and particularly in the Dupuy academy.
