This most recent volume published (number 1 in the forecast series of 46 of which 13 are already available) gathers together 51 correspondents, from the Dutch publisher Aa to the Venetian Father Amadio Maria. The birth and progress of Muratori's tireless multiform activities, towards and Italy opening its frontiers to the new European culture, can be followed through from the «Anecdota» of his youth to the great work «Rerum Italicarum Scriptores», to the enthralling works of the «regolata devozione dei cristiani».
