The essays collected in this volume are dedicated to the deeper knowledge of several themes directly involved with modern historiography that has promoted a critical revision of opinions relating to the role of the 14th century be it within the scientific and philosophical culture of the Middle Ages be it in the broader context of that of the Renaissance and Modern Age.
