This volume present a reading, in many respects unpublished, of the early years of Lorena’s rule concentrating on dynastic data as the focal point. Beginning with an actual ‘rilocation’ of the Court of Lorena in 1737 towards Florence it takes into consideration the space occupied by Lorena in the early years of regency. The analysis terminates showing a new phase of collaboration between Tuscans and the Lorena government immediately before the arrival of Pietro Leopoldo.
