Giustizia penale a San Gimignano (1300-1350)

The study of unpublished documents of the Archives of San Gimignano is the foundation of this analysis of the role of criminal trials in the public tribunals of the commune, and of how the justice courts worked during the last decades of the communal age. The result is a complex picture in which the functions of criminal justice appear to be social conditioning, the control of internal conflicts and that of the territory.

Tamara Graziotti
Tamara Graziotti ha conseguito la Laurea in Lettere (2007) e il Dottorato in Storia Medievale (2012) presso l’Università di Firenze. Ha ottenuto inoltre il Diploma presso la Scuola di Archivistica, Paleografia e Diplomatica dell’Archivio di Stato di Firenze (2009) e dal 2010 collabora in veste di archivista e paleografa con The Medici Archive Project.
