Riccardo di San Vittore nella Commedia di Dante

Richard of St. Victor is connected to the theory of the excessus mentis and to the representation of God. The volume studies his presence in the Commedia, focusing on his contribution to central themes such as the role of imagination in poetic creation or the relationship between emotions and free will. Thus emerges the importance of Richard’s method of “visual exegesis” for the interpretation of the Commedia as a great theatrum memoriae.

Mira Mocan
Mira Mocan ha conseguito il Dottorato di ricerca presso l’Università di Roma «La Sapienza» ed è attualmente ricercatrice in Filologia romanza presso l’Università Roma Tre. Ha studiato in particolare la cultura e la poesia dei trovatori anche nel contesto della tradizione mediolatina e il rapporto fra riflessione filosofica medievale e poesia italiana delle origini (soprattutto in Cavalcanti e in Dante). Fra le sue pubblicazioni si segnalano I pensieri del cuore. Per la semantica del provenzale «cossirar» (Roma 2004) e La trasparenza e il riflesso. Sull’«alta fantasia» in Dante e nel pensiero medievale (Milano 2007).
