This volume, published in the occasion of the exhibition held at the Prints and Drawings Room of the Uffizi, not only studies the drawings on view, but also discusses the graphic œuvre by Guido Reni and his followers housed at the Uffizi. Babette Bohn, a renowned scholar of 16th and 17th Century Bolognese art, rereads Reni’s legacy relying on historical primary sources such as Carlo Cesare Malvasia’s biography of the artist recounted in his Felsina Pittrice (1678).

Babette Bohn
Babette Bohn è Professore di Storia dell’Arte alla Texas Christian University di Fort Worth, in Texas. Specialista della storia della grafica emiliana di Cinque e Seicento, è autrice di diverse pubblicazioni sulla cultura figurativa bolognese del periodo, culminate nella recente monografia sui disegni di Ludovico Carracci.
