Based on material conserved in the Luigi Nono Archives of Venice, this collection comprises more than 270 letters, postcards and telegrams (the majority published here for the first time) in which Nono and his correspondents (leaders of the Italian Communist Party but also musicians, musicologists, workers and exponents of the international political life such as Fidel Castro, Salvador Allende, Václav Havel) discuss various aspects of politics and its connection with culture, art, music and society.
