La dimensione teatrale in Giacomo Leopardi

Nineteen essays analyse the relationship between Leopardi and drama. Although the poet did not write theatrical plays, except two tragedies in his early years, new interesting themes emerge. A «Special section contains a memory of the prominent scholars Binni and Timpanaro, and acknowledgment of the courage of the French publisher Bérréby, who published the complete translation of the Zibaldone. Further in-depth examinations in seven essays are contained in the «Appendix, while an index of names completes the book.
