Albrecht Dürer. Originali, copie, derivazioni

This volume catalogues and describes 748 prints and a treatise, the totality of the works housed in the Gabinetto Disegni e Stampe and historically attributed to the German Master. Moreover, this volume examines analytically how Dürer’s prints were received in Italy and the success that every single print had in art and literature until 1686, the year when Dürer’s biography, Cominciamento e progresso dell’arte dell’intagliare in rame, by Filippo Baldinucci was published.
