The complexity of the publishing history of Antonio Vallisneri’s works and the difficulty of identifying the many works he published anonymously have always been a major obstacle in any systematic research concerned with his personality and scientific output. The present bibliography, a broad survey as well as an analytical history of all his works, constitutes an essential tool for any new studies of Vallisneri’s intellectual evolution, his works and his thought.

Dario Generali ha concentrato le sue ricerche sulla circolazione del sapere attraverso i periodici eruditi e i carteggi, sull’ecdotica del testo scientifico d’età moderna, sull’illustrazione del dibattito relativo alle scienze naturalistiche e della vita nell’Italia fra Sei e Settecento, sui modelli storiografici della scienza. È autore di un’ampia produzione editoriale su questi argomenti ed è coordinatore scientifico dell’Edizione Nazionale delle Opere di Antonio Vallisneri, che ha sede presso l’ISPF-CNR. - (giugno 2013) -
