An expansion of the principal themes of the industrious studies undertaken by Mario Rosa: history of religious institutions and the Curia; religiousness and culture in ancient Italian states; eighteenth century Europe, in its great cultural expression and above all in its religious attitudes and motives. The volume also covers the vicissitudes of two great feats of Italian historiography during the Fifties and Sixties in which Mario Rosa actively took part: the «Dizionario Biografico degli Italiani» and the «Atlante storico italiano».
