Le «Pagine di arte tipografica» di Angelo Marinelli

The Umbrian printer Angelo Marinelli (b. Città di Castello 1877, d. Acqui 1928) still today unknown, embodies the figure of the ‘militant’ printer, admirer of and expert on the finest Italian printing traditions yet conscious of the progress and problems in this field. To maintain intact his sombre and essential printing style a fac-simile of his «Pagine di arte tipografica» (1918) is now reprinted. A lengthy introduction and bibliography create the framework for the introductory essay of the Marinellian texts that are reproduced in this edition.
