This conference, the first of a series of five cultural meetings dedicated to the Mantuan landscape in various periods (Middle Ages, Renaissance, Age of Enlightenment, from 19th century to the present day) with its relative proceedings presents a multidisciplinary research system aiming to reconstruct the history and development of an area for which previous reflections and research, although excellent, have always been incomplete.
